Where to Buy an Air Conditioner in Thailand: Online vs Offline
Marketplace, brand store, big-box retailer, or specialist — the trade-offs that decide your final price and warranty.

Where you buy matters as much as which model you buy. Same model, four channels, four different total costs.
1. Online marketplaces (Shopee, Lazada, TikTok Shop)
Pros: lowest sticker price, big sale events. Cons: installation usually not included, warranty registration on you, return logistics for a 50 kg unit are painful. Best for: confident buyers who already have a trusted installer.
2. Brand showrooms (Daikin Shop, Mitsubishi, etc.)
Pros: guaranteed authenticity, full warranty, brand-trained installers. Cons: highest sticker prices, less negotiation room. Best for: premium models where warranty path matters most.
3. Big-box retailers (Power Buy, HomePro, Mega Home)
Pros: bundled installation, decent prices during seasonal sales, immediate financing. Cons: selection narrower than online; sales staff knowledge varies. Best for: most middle-of-the-road buyers.
4. Specialist AC retailers (like Airdee Thailand)
Pros: end-to-end service: selection guidance, certified installers, free installation in Bangkok and vicinity, after-sales support. Pricing typically matches or beats marketplaces once installation is included. Cons: selection focused on top brands rather than every option in the market.
How to compare apples to apples
Always normalize quotes to delivered + installed + brand warranty active. A 14,900 THB online unit becomes 19,400 THB after a 4,500 THB installer call-out. A 19,900 THB bundled price from a specialist usually wins on total cost and reliability.
